Norte
A live board for a regional fleet that used to run on spreadsheets and chat.
Norte is the dispatch system for a regional carrier. The brief was to replace the morning spreadsheet with a screen the team would actually open.
I modeled routes, stops, and exceptions with the traffic lead, then built the board on those three objects. No modules nobody opens.
The problem
Dispatchers built routes in a spreadsheet and learned about a delay when the client called. There was no exception list, and each truck's status lived in a chat.
The solution
A board that opens the day: active routes, stops running late, and a timeline per truck. The team marks an exception and everyone else sees it without asking.
